The Bar

On cooler days and evenings, find a cosy corner of the well-stocked bar and stretch out in front of the roaring log fires. The ancient Jacobean fireplace and hunting scenes on the wall remind the visitor of aspects of English county life which have changed little down the centuries.

The period furnishings of the Inn, the rich reds and beautiful flower arrangements exude a quality reflected in the food and drink. Note the many good food awards that adorn the mantlepieces, including Nottinghamshire's Dining Pub of the Year, eight years in a row.

Ale drinkers can enjoy an excellent selection at the bar - from regulars such as Bass & Timothy Taylor's Landlord paired up with 2 great guest ales, usually courtesy of Nottingham Brewery. We also have an excellent choice of premium draught products in the form of San Miguel, Peroni, Birra Moretti,  Estrella for the lager drinkers. Joined by Neck Oil for those who like something a little different, Aspall's cider & the stalwart of any good establishment - Guinness. We have a distinguished range of spirits from around the world not forgetting an extensive wine list from Corney & Barrow.
