As nights draw in and the temperatures drop, find a cosy corner of the well-stocked bar and stretch out in front of the roaring log fires. The ancient Jacobean fireplace and hunting scenes on the wall remind the visitor of aspects of English county life which have changed little down the centuries.
The period furnishings of the Inn, the rich reds and beautiful flower arrangements exude a quality reflected in the food and drink. Note the many good food awards that adorn the mantlepieces, including Nottinghamshire's Dining Pub of the Year, five years in a row.
“I could happily while away
the hours at The Martin's.”
Ale drinkers will enjoy an excellent selection at the bar - Bass Pedigree, New World, Timothy Taylor's Landlord, Greene King IPA, Cumberland or perhaps Black Dog. Strongbow cider is available on draft and a distinguished range of whiskies and brandies as well as an extensive wine list from Conrney & Barrow.
